THE TECHNOLOGY

What is Laser Treatment?

The term LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. In Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT), controlled heat energy is delivered at a precise wavelength to safely close diseased veins.

Using specialized laser fibres, the procedure targets the affected vein from within. When laser energy is applied, it is selectively absorbed by the water content in the blood, damaging the inner lining of the vein. This causes the vein to collapse and seal shut.

Over time, the closed vein undergoes natural fibrosis and is gradually eliminated by the body, leaving the leg clearer, healthier, and free from visible varicosities.
